When an MD5 or SHA1 hash is available, I check EVERY download. I use DigestIT 2004 from <http://digestit.kennethballard.com/>. Also, I prefer downloading large files via a separate FTP client instead of via a browser (SeaMonkey). This means that my activities with the browser are not limited by downloading. For example, I can switch browser profiles without terminating the download. -- David E. Ross <http://www.rossde.com/>.
