If you'd like to make it smaller, You can build your own custom 
libnssckbi.so containing just the certificates that you want.

I used the basic directions here:

They are a little out of date at this point, but the basic steps are 
there.  If you want to make it a little easier grab the nss tarball that 
has nspr included:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/security/nss/releases/NSS_3_11_5_RTM/src/nss-3.11.5-with-nspr-4.6.5.tar.gz
