Frank, Where did you find any mention of NSS in all that stuff?
I looked briefly but didn't find any.
The Cleversafe.org mentions NSS right on the home page, in the dark gray
box titled "Cleversafe Dispersed Storage Project", as an item under the
"what's new" heading: "* NSS network communication".
I looked for some other indications as to exactly how they're using NSS,
and couldn't really find anything obvious; finally I resorted to looking
at the source tree and found a mention of NSS. I think they're using NSS
for SSL functionality, and chose it over OpenSSL due to licensing
considerations among others; see
http://svn.cleversafe.org/dscore/trunk/CHANGES.txt
I also found some information about NSS and Cleversafe from reading
their developer forums; in particular see this post:
http://www.cleversafe.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=95
Based on other posts I've read, the lead developer for Cleversafe's use
of NSS appears to be Jason Resch; for contact info see
http://www.cleversafe.org/wiki/Cleversafe_Contributors
IIRC the person asking questions earlier in m.d.t.crypto was Wesley
Leggette, also listed on that page.
