Mozilla's new newsgroups are hosted by a different news server than the one that hosts the netscape groups. The new news server only accepts posts in one of two ways: 1. Via news reader programs that connect directly to news.mozilla.org. Thunderbird and SeaMonkey work well for this. This URL may help you get started. news://news.mozilla.org:119/mozilla.dev.tech.crypto 2. For each mozilla news group there is a corresponding mailing list (alias) hosted on lists.mozilla.org. There is a mail <-> news gateway that posts messages from the alias to the newsgroup, and emails postings in the newsgroup to the mail alias. The mailing lists accept email from list members only, and from the gateway. If you're a subscriber to one of those lists, you can email messages to the alias and they will also show up in the newsgroup. The easiest way to subscribe is to visit this URL https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-tech-crypto When you subscribe to one of those aliases, you have the option to disable email delivery to you. That way, you can read the messages via a news reader or google's web interface, and can reply through email. You may also put your subscription in digest mode, so that each day, all the day's messages will be sent to you in a single email message. You may also choose whether to receive MIME or plain text digests. The membership list of the dev-tech-crypto email alias is not publicly viewable.
