You appear to be using your system's fontconfig lib. In general, the
ones shipped seem to be too old and often cause crashes due to threading
problems, so we actually build fontconfig in-tree right now. I'm
interested to find out what that's not being used for you - have you
re-configured and clobbered your build, just in case?
