Consider instead building with clang-cl: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Developer_guide/Build_Instructions/Building_Firefox_on_Windows_with_clang-cl
If you build with clang-cl, you can keep the newest (gecko-incompatible) version of MSVC installed, which is particularly useful if you build other modern codebases.
