You should notice a new colourized log format when running tests with |mach test| or |mach mochitest|. If you want to revert to the old log format you can add:
[test] format=tbpl to your ~/.mozbuild/machrc. If you have any feedback or issues with the new format, please chime in to bug 1445624 <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1445624>.
