OK, now I have had a chance to try it.
When set to the new 50px default, I see 1 letter of title or less (less,
because the entire second half of the letter is faded out badly). This
makes tabs more or less unusable for me. :(
I've ended up setting the preference to 110px. That seems to work
pretty well with the tab titles I have hanging around and need to
disambiguate....
