Hi David, Thank you for your reply and the bug numbers.
It was still working for Thunderbird/SeaMonkey, which were based on Gecko 52, and which still support legacy add-ons. They plan on keep supporting legacy add-ons past Gecko 56/57 also, but I guess it will be without the old add-on signing experience then.
