Plz not !!! Updates installed by admins! They should know what they do and what they have to fix for normal users! _No_ other program (that I have seen) installs a 64bit-update into the 32bit-directory! IMHO this is a no-go! E.g. VLC uninstalls always (AFAIK) first the old version before the new on gets installed... FF should do the same!
