Note that we already have the "perf" keyword that can be filtered on and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1050252 was filed to add a checkbox to the guided bug form to easily add this keyword to new bugs. I see that keyword still used regularly by regular contributors.
Have you considered using bugzilla whine emails to receive a list of all new bugs with that keyword. You could narrow it down to the "Untriaged" component(s) if you wish. Cheers, Matthew N.
