Prettifying JSON is a good idea. 
Did you check/play with jq?

They do a really good job at showing and understanding the data.
This is mostly a text-based UI with syntax coloring but it's very effective as 
it gives me the power at the tips of my hands. Not constrained by a choice of 
UI.

Talking about prettifying, it would be nice if we could have "user themes" 
(maybe textmate/sublime theme language) to be able to choose the 
rendering/prettifying rules for JSON, HTML, JS, etc.
