That sounds like a plausible story; let's hope the truth is something

Yes, getting more contributions from all vendors would be a big
improvement. However I think it's worth noting that others have made
contributions; for example Google have contributed a number of
testsuites for new technologies they are implementing.

If this happens it will be great progress. I fear there is still a lot
of stop energy for large changes, but I guess trying to push them
through is the only way to find out of that's actually the case.
