There's no reason to guess or use personal anecdotes for this. We'll do experiments around optimal flow and around optimizing for best submission rate and best comment rate. We may choose different UI options for the prerelease channels where we want to optimize for comments and the release channel where we want to optimize for user flow and good overall submission rates.
