does fixing this enable you dogfood debug builds?
I apologize, I think that came out snarky, it wasn't mean to be. :-)
I'm not expecting it to be a magic bullet. Where do you suggest I start?
By profiling a debug build and see where we spend our time in in the
workflows that are unacceptably important to you, and then filing bugs
about them. I have to admit that I have never been brave enough to
dogfood debug builds myself as my daily browser, but if some people have
been and builds today are too slow for them, we should definitely fix
them! I don't really know much about your workflow and which things in
what websites are too slow to prevent you from using the builds, so
gathering some profiling information would be very helpful for people to
find out where they can help.
The Gecko Profiler should be able to do a decent job at that, and it
enables you to upload the profiles so that others can look at them,
please see
<https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Performance/Profiling_with_the_Built-in_Profiler>
if you have never used it before.
Cheers,
Ehsan
