Hi everyone,

I mentioned already [1] that I will be at the upcoming C++
Standards Committee in Issaquah, Washington (near Seattle)
next week. I thought I'd mention it again in a new thread
to make sure people who might be interested don't miss it.

See this thread [2] for my report on the last Committee
meeting which was in Chicago last September; in particular,
see my summaries of what is slated to go into C++14 [3]
and follow-up Technical Specifications [4].

The focus of this meeting will be address any remaining
blocking issues in C++14, and put out a final draft that,
in the absence of further blocking issue raised by national
bodies, will become the C++14 standard. Beyond that, the
Committee will focus on the upcoming Technical
Specifications and, if there is time, the next standard,
C++17.

If there is anything anyone would like to know that I can
find out at the meeting, or feedback regarding the
proposals being considered that I can pass on, please let
me know!

I will send an update after the meeting about the progress
that was made.

See also my next post about Cairo being considered as the
basis of a standard C++ drawing API.

Cheers,
Botond
