Makes me think that we should at least experiment with it to make sure
are issues we have with it will be fixed in a .1 or so and we'll be able
to use that.
I've got a build of gcc-4.8.0 on Linux along with all the previous major
versions which I often use for testing. I'm trying a full build now; is
there any specific test that would be worth doing? A full run of the
unit tests maybe? Or even some performance testing on a relevant benchmark?
