Fortunately, the next sentence reads:

The following development .dll files that are associated with the DirectX
SDK <http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=6812> are
incompatible with this platform update:

   - D3D10SDKLayers.dll
   - D3D11SDKLayers.dll
   - D3D10ref.dll
   - D2D1debug.dll


The only DirectX SDK DLL that we are still using is D3DCompiler.dll. As it
isn't listed above, it sounds like we're safe.

That said, it is generally a good idea to upgrade DirectX SDKs when a newer
one comes out: we do run into D3DCompiler.dll bugs, and there is hope that
they would be fixed in newer versions.
