That was a very large number of updates and deletes happening every ~30 
minutes. I cannot imagine that kind of db activity with NSS data storage, but I 
could be wrong.

Doesn't SQLite come with its own set of issues? I vaguely remember the
urlclassifier code moving from SQLite to something else because of
performance issues.
