IANAL but on it's face, I'd agree. It's also in violation of the IANA regs
as they've modified the Registrant as well as the contact information.

Have to ask the obligatory question tho: What does Register.com's T&C read
like? Perhaps their agreement's fine print permits this type of lowlife
behavior?
