Some further remarks/notes: The "number implementation" gives more privacy.
Date/time could be considered a violation of privacy. Then people could know when the user of the browser was behind the browser/computer. A number is more vague and gives more privacy while achieving the same desired functionality. So from a privacy stand point of view I would prefer this implementation idea. The date/time implementation might give additional functionality/features but this may also be a worry or privacy fear factor =D. For now limiting it to a bookmark number would resolve any future privacy fears/concerns.
