Title:
  Setting launcher to auto-hide in Unity 2d fails

Status in “unity-2d” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Running precise beta 1 on 32bit with Unity 2d. Enter system
  settings->personal->appearance->behavior->auto-hide-the-launcher and
  set it to "on". At this point, all maximized windows take up the
  entire screen, but the launcher never hides, thus the left edge of all
  windows are covered by the launcher.

  If you set auto-hide to "off" then windows are resized and everything
  is fine. I've tried numerous things, but I've never once seen the
  launcher in unity 2d ever actually hide.
