1. Install LO3.4.4 from Ubuntu 11.10 official repo
2. remove LO3.4.4 using
$ sudo apt-get remove libreoffice-*
3. install LO3.5.1 from ppa
4. remove LO3.5.1 using
$ sudo apt-get remove libreoffice-*
5. disable ppa and reinstall LO3.4.4 fro official repo
6. start libreoffice
Expect result:
Running Libreoffice
Actual result:
Libreoffice splash start and quit silently.
strace on libreoffice give me something like:
"/usr/lib/libreoffice/basis3.4/program/services.rdb" not found.
$ file /usr/lib/libreoffice/basis3.4/program/services.rdb
/usr/lib/libreoffice/basis3.4/program/services.rdb: broken symbolic link to
`/var/lib/libreoffice/basis3.4/program/services.rdb'
This issue could be solved by removing
/usr/lib/libreoffice/basis3.4/program/services.rdb then re-installing
libreoffice-core
