Fixed in http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~apport- hackers/apport/trunk/revision/2236
I also added test cases for the two scenarios. ** Changed in: apport Status: New => Fix Released ** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Committed ** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Martin Pitt (pitti) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to apport in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/961065 Title: [UIFE] Alert inappropriately refers to "program version" for internal errors Status in Apport crash detection/reporting: Fix Released Status in “apport” package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Bug description: apport 1.94.1-0ubuntu2, Ubuntu 12.04 beta 1 When a "Sorry, Ubuntu has experienced an internal error" alert appears, it has a checkbox: "Ignore future problems of this program version". That text is technically correct, but it does not make sense for internal errors. As far as a non-investigating Ubuntu user is concerned, when an internal error occurs it is "Ubuntu" that had the error, not a "program". As shown in <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ErrorTracker#error>, the text should be "Ignore future problems of this type".
