As I already wrote. It has happened to me everytime I have tried to send
files to google talk contacts. The steps to reproduce (as already
mentioned) are: Open up a chat with a google talk friend, select "Send
file", select a file i the dialog and press "Select file", watch how
either nothing happens or the program crashes.

However, trying to reproduce it this morning I find that the send file
functionality has been disabled. So maybe there is already work in
progress on this.
