This appears to be an intentional decision by Unity design to change the 
shortcuts in 12.04:
    Ctrl+Alt+4 --> Super+Left
    Ctrl+Alt+6 --> Super+Right
This is described in bug 751050.

If you would like the old behaviour, please run "ccsm", scroll down to
"Grid" and change the keybindings.

Bug description:
  The shortcuts to left or right align a window at 50% width and maximum
  height (ctrl-alt-numpad4, ctrl-alt-numpad6) do not work in Precise's
  Unity.  Ctrl-alt-numpad5 doesn't work as expected either.
