If you're sure you are testing with the same version I reported against, then it must be intermittent or it happens under some particular conditions that I haven't figured out.

Observed: the file is copied but the copy is not visible, so the user has the impression that the file isn't copied at all. Moreover, even if you collapse and re-expand the folder (i'm in list view) the folder is not refreshed and you still won't see the copies. I'm not sure what action exactly is required in order to have the folder view be refreshed and finally show the copied hidden files: i ended up closing nautilus (convinced the file hadn't been copied) then I reopened it, I enabled the "show hidden files" again and there they were. This is just one of many issue in Nautilus when handling hidden files.
