We had already established this wasn't a NetworkManager issue. The fact
that you're able to uninstall it and have your system work properly is
likely just an indication that the driver at cause is the wired or
wireless driver being used.
That said, there is not enough information on this bug report to fix any
of these issues. Furthermore, as Intrepid has been EOL since April 30,
2010, there is no point in keeping this bug open.
Please, if you're still running into similar issues on newer releases,
file a new bug report pertaining to your own system (one person = one
bug report, the kernel developers will mark as duplicate where
necessary) against "linux". Preferably use the "ubuntu-bug linux"
command, which will automatically attach the necessary information.

Bug description:
ubuntu 32-bit cd does not launch the X server correctly and is frozen by
flashing buttons caps and scr lock, when my wifi card DWL- g520+ is connected,
tested in 2 motherboards with different processors, Biostar D-U8668 with
Celeron 2.66GHz and Intel D865GBF with Pentium 4 HT 3 GHz.
Everything works ok with Hardy.
el cd de ubuntu 32 bits no lanza correctamente el X server y se congela
haciendo parpadear las teclas caps y scr lock, cuando mi tarjeta de wifi
dwl-g520+ esta conectada, probada en 2 tarjetas madres y con procesadores
distintos, U8668-D con celeron 2.66ghz y con Intel D865GBF con Pentium 4 HT 3
ghz.
Con Hardy Todo funciona ok.
