There is a possible workaround. I had this problem, and the easiest solution was to give a try to banshee.... after disappointing performance issues and crashes, I decided to look back at this problem.
I found that is possible to set the path of lyrics through dconf- editor. Just download it from repositories and search for rhythmbox/plugins. After setting the path to the directory where I keep lyrics, rhythmbox started to display lyrics, surpringsinly some new songs were shown as well, so it seems to be working directrly from the internet again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/880191 Title: rhythmbox don't create a folder for lyrics Status in The Rhythmbox Music Management Application: New Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: the function to choose a folder for lyrics don't let do it ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: rhythmbox 2.90.1~20110908-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic i686 ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu3 Architecture: i386 Date: Sat Oct 22 23:25:50 2011 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/rhythmbox InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release i386 (20110427.1) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=es_MX:es PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=es_MX.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: rhythmbox UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-10-21 (2 days ago) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/rhythmbox/+bug/880191/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
