Bug description:
After upgrading to nvidia-drivers-580, multiple apps crash upon
closing, upon openning files or upon executing other actions,
sometimes taking my gnome session down with it.

  Examples:

Files - crashes upon closing (the main window, but also the file properties
sub-window), taking down the entire gnome session and go back to gdm.
Papers - crashes when trying to open a pdf file (my guess is that it is
because it closes a sub-window in the process), taking down the entire gnome
session and go back to gdm.
Log viewer - crashes upon closing.
Gnome text editor - crashes upon closing.
