Updating gnome-session & gdm in my setup with gnome-shell 49~alpha, breaks the desktop completely (black screen).
Similarly only updating gnome-shell 49~beta (with older gdm and gnome- session) prevents gdm greeter to start here. In this last case can be avoided by reverting https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome- shell/-/commit/f3911151da7b0e3c63001 that I'm temporarily doing now to make at least the shell (alone) to be updated. However, this bug should be unblocked only when we can login with gdm3, gnome-session and gnome-shell 49~beta ** Also affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2119965 Title: gdm3: do not migrate before apparmor fix and GNOME Shell 49~beta is tested working Status in gdm3 package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in gnome-session package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: This bug only exists to add a block-proposed tag on gdm3.
