I now get the message that an update for "516 -> 20241101" is ready, and after choosing to install it, it requests a reboot. During reboot, the update does not happen. After reboot the update is offered again, just like what happened previously.
Where do these version numbers come from? Why did the version number scheme change? Is the old numbering still in use in parallel, since I did receive an update from 502 to 516? ** Information type changed from Public to Public Security -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2114672 Title: Repeated failed install of secure boot dbx configuration update Status in gnome-software package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: the package Software repeats "request to install secure boot dbx configuration update 474 -> 20241101" (three times now already) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 22.04 Package: gnome-software 41.5-2ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.8.0-60.63~22.04.1-generic 6.8.12 Uname: Linux 6.8.0-60-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu82.8 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: unknown CurrentDesktop: Unity:Unity7:ubuntu Date: Sun Jun 15 11:39:25 2025 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gnome-software InstallationDate: Installed on 2021-01-14 (1613 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Release amd64 (20200731) InstalledPlugins: gnome-software-plugin-flatpak N/A gnome-software-plugin-snap 41.5-2ubuntu2 SourcePackage: gnome-software UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/2114672/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
