We need to identify each crash as specifically occurring somewhere and
being caused by something. Because extension soft crashes are what cause
them to be removed during deactivate/activate on screen lock.

I installed e.g. the extension dash-to-panel. This works normally after boot,
but becomes "inactive", but still "enabled" after lockscreen is engaged.
Dash symbols should stay in the panel, but due to "inactive" state of
dash-to-panel extension, the panel is
--- using this command, it shows that state is INACTIVE after lockscreen.
Same is true for other extensions, like [email protected] or
[email protected]. In contrast, the extension
[email protected] is not inactivated.
$ gnome-extensions show [email protected]
[email protected]
Name: Dash to Panel
Description: An icon taskbar for the Gnome Shell. This extension moves the
dash into the gnome main panel so that the application launchers and system
tray are combined into a single panel, similar to that found in KDE Plasma and
Windows 7+. A separate dock is no longer needed for easy access to running and
favorited applications.
For a more traditional experience, you may also want to use Tweak Tool
to enable Windows > Titlebar Buttons > Minimize & Maximize.
For the best support, please report any issues on Github. Dash-to-panel is
developed and maintained by @jderose9 and @charlesg99.
