I got this exact error + crash by opening a font menu in Inkscape while
fractional scaling is on in a 2 monitor + laptop screen setup.

Title:
gnome-shell crashed with SIGTRAP due to GLXBadPixmap when desktop-
  icons-ng is enabled

Bug description:
Using a plain vanilla 24.04.2 LTS, using a laptop with an external monitor.
First, built-in 3840x2160 pixels, scaling set to 200%, refresh rate set to 120
Hz and fractional scaling, Second 5120x1440, refresh rate set to 60 Hz and
scaling set to 100% and fractional scaling. I use the second one as main
screen, and setting fractional scaling is required to operate the two different
screens at different scaling. I have a a Geforce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU using
the nvidia-driver-550 (proprietary, tested) version.

In this setup the extension Desktop Icons NG (DING) crashes on Lock Screen
(either manual or automatic). Login Screen appears, after logging back on, the
whole screen shows "Application crashed" and forces a log out. Deactivating the
extension resolves bug and Lock Screen works again.

As I'm new to Ubuntu and haven't used Desktop Iconss, I can't say for
sure, but I think the Extension has difficulties dealing with my
setup: the "home" icon is functional but is positioned somewhere on
the far right of my second screeen which is probably wrong. The system
logs do not provide any immediate hint of what went wrong, so I'm not
  including it here.
