I can see 2 issues in your journal: gvfs-afc-volume-monitor[1511118]: /usr/libexec/gvfs-afc-volume-monitor: error while loading shared libraries: libusbmuxd-2.0.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
upowerd[1511126]: /usr/libexec/upowerd: error while loading shared libraries: libusbmuxd-2.0.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Only the first one is relevant to this bug, but they stem from the same bug. It should not be possible to have broken shared library states when the libraries are installed by apt. Is it possible you have `libimobiledevice` installed manuallly in some location available to LD_LIBRARY_PATH? Please share the output of `ldd /usr/libexec/upowerd` and `ldd /usr/libexec/gvfs-afc-volume-monitor` -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2109677 Title: File open dialog takes several minutes to appear Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: It takes several minutes (typically 2–3 minutes) for the file open dialog to appear in any application. This delay started immediately after upgrading to Ubuntu 25.04, and affects all programs that use the standard GTK file chooser. For example, even running Nautilus on an empty directory triggers the issue: $ mkdir empty $ nautilus empty Failed to register: Timeout was reached This behavior is consistent and highly disruptive, making everyday tasks like opening or saving files extremely frustrating. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 25.04 Release: 25.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/2109677/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
