[ Test Plan ] 0. Find a machine with a touchscreen. 1. At the login screen, select 'Ubuntu on Xorg'. 2. Enable Settings > Accessibility > Typing > Screen Keyboard 3. Open a Terminal and tap on it, or do whatever you need to do to make the OSK appear. 4. Start typing on the OSK. Expect: The characters typed on the OSK appear in the Terminal window. [ Where problems could occur ] Touchscreen behaviour in Xorg sessions is the main area of risk because that's the only functionality being changed here. There's always a chance that touch behaviour elsewhere in the shell may regress, such as in app windows or being able to drag windows by touch.
