Not an expert, but my understanding is that Ext4 is the default Linux
file system, suitable for both internal drives and external drives like
backup drives or extra storage or anything else. But when I attempt to
format a drive to Ext4, the utility tells me that this option is for
internal disks only. If there's actually a good reason for this then
feel free to close this, but I think that description is just wrong.
