Bug description:
[ Impact ]
If you click a calendar date in the bottom row of the top panel
calendar, the backdrop shrinks and the dates overflow out of the
backdrop boundaries.

[ Test case ]
1. In a GNOME Shell session, click on the date on the top panel
2. Click on the bottom row of the calendar
3. The calendar should not shrink, and in case switch month view
[ Regression potential ]
The calendar UI may not be updated, date may not be selected or the
view being resized accordingly.
