It is my understanding reading the package that these rules would only be removed upon purge operation. The Mozilla-built package replaces this if the users installs the appropriate repository. It was made sure that the new rules pushed by the apparmor package in /etc/apparmor.d/firefox would fit that usecase as visible in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/2046844 Unfortunately, because there is not a purge when enabling the mozilla apt repository and installing (upgrading to) the mozilla-built firefox package, we end up with incorrect AppArmor setup.
