Public bug reported:

Ubuntu release: Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
Package version: 90ubuntu1

What I expected to happen:
When the Ubuntu Dock has the "Focus or show previews" click action behaviour
selected I expect clicking on a Window preview in the Dock will bring the
Window to the foreground and be given focus.

What happened instead:
The selected preview window is brought to the foreground, however it isn't
given focus. Subsequently clicking directly on the window also doesn't switch
the focus and so I have to click directly on another window and then back again
(without using the Ubuntu dock).

The default Ubuntu Dock mode of "Focus or app spread" works as intended
so the issue appears to be specific to all the "show preview" modes.
