Public bug reported:
I put all the details upstream:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/3035
Affected version
Ubuntu 23.10, Wayland session
Regression between 45.rc and 45.0.
Dual 4K monitors, 100% desktop scaling.
Bug summary
The framerate goes way over vsync even with Sync to vsync set in all games
tested so far.
Steps to reproduce
I compiled vanilla Mutter from source and bisected it to dfd58ca8 !3259
(merged) , reverting that on top of main fixes the problem again.
