Title:
file:// does not remember sorting choices

Status in Mozilla Firefox:
  Confirmed
Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

  $lsb_release -rd
  Description: Ubuntu 7.10
  Release: 7.10

  $ apt-cache policy firefox
  firefox:
    Installed: 3.0~b4+nobinonly-0ubuntu1
    Candidate: 3.0~b4+nobinonly-0ubuntu1
    Version table:
   *** 3.0~b4+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 0
          500 http://au.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

When entering file:///home/<homedir> into firefox, the browser displays all
files in that directory.

If you were to click, "Name", "Size" or "Last modified", it would sort
by them. However, if you enter into a sub directory and then return to
the parent directory, firefox forgets the sorting selection previously
  chosen.

I expect the sorting selection to remain the same throughout browsing
all files until the user selects another method of sorting.
