I was able to fix the problem by downgrading back to oneiric-updates (1:3.4.4-0ubuntu1). 1. A .odt document file that I had previously saved with a password could no longer be opened under LibreOffice Writer. It kept giving me the "incorrect password" error message, even though I was 100% sure I was giving the right password. 2. I tried creating a NEW .odt file for test purposes and saving it with a password. I checked the "Save with Password" box and entered a password. Then it gave me a message saying something like "crypto problem -- could not save." I could not get the Save to work with a password. Downgrading to oneiric-updates fixed both symptoms. Fortunately, my password-encrypted file was not lost. Would you please debug this problem before releasing the current oneiric-proposed LibreOffice to general usage. Thanks!
