Status in shared-mime-info:
  Fix Released
Status in shared-mime-info package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Initially I reported bug to KDE but it's a shared-mime-info issue.
  https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=373220

All binary files are detected as application/x-sharedlib but should be
  application/x-executable.

This started to happen in Kubuntu 16.10.
