While the screenshot shows that GNOME is aware of the current resolution
being different to the configured resolution, it cannot guess as to
which app has caused the change and when is the right time to change
back. It's the responsibility of the application (atari800-jz) to clean
up after itself.

** Package changed: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) => ubuntu

Title:
After full screen atari800 quits, native desktop resolution is not
  restored

Status in atari800 package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  [Problem]
  1. Install atari800-jz package from Ubuntu Software.
  2. Run Atari800 emulator
  3. Press ALT-F so that Atari800 goes full screen
  4. Quit emulator - press F9 (or ALT-F again and make it crash-quit)
  4. Desktop is stuck emulator resolution and user is unable to do anything
about it. Clicking on battery icon will not display Power Off/Log out option
due to small resolution. Only option then is to press CTRL+ALT+DEL and log out
this way.

  [Workarounds]
Have a Settings app running with Display tab selected and placed on top left
screen corner. Once emulator quits - change resolution manually.

  [Environment]
Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS with all updates installed
  Gnome 3.36.8
