I switched to a chromium-dev PPA. They seem to be able to ship builds.
Although they don't freeze chromium major version. I guess Snap does
neither.

Title:
  chromium-browser install stalls ansible

Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu:
  Opinion

Bug description:
In Ubuntu 20.04 I installed some packages and configure stuff with
Ansible. This all worked fine until I tried to install chromium-
  browser.

Why, you ask? Because apt is configured to use a proxy but Snap
(whatever this is) is not it seems. So install process is stealing my
time by just not progressing. I found that the install process will
wait up to 30 minutes before giving up. Great work, great package!

I propose you remove chromium-browser from the package repository and
not try to masquerade it as a package managed by dpkg/apt.
