Title:
  [Aspire 5742, Realtek ALC272X, Speaker, Internal] Playback problem...
  The Left speaker works, but the right speaker does not play sound.
  This computer also runns on Microsoft Windows 7, and there both
  speakers work

  The Right speaker also does not work on some devices plugged into this
  computer through the headphone slot. I believe this is a driver
  problem, but I am not certian.
