Title:
problem using loopback sound device
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I am trying a simple test using a loopback sound device.
pacat -r -d alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1b.0.analog-stereo.monitor \
--latency=1msec \
| pacat -p -d alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1b.0.analog-stereo \
--latency=1msec
I use the above command. This is to take the microphone input and
write it to the loopback device.
(this is just a test. once I have this working, I plan to pipe
through sox to modify the sound)
I find that when I do this and record, I get no sound at all.
If I record directly from the microphone, then the recording does have
sound.
I am using Ubuntu 14.4.3
