Title:
disks application screws up when manipulating partitions

Status in Ubuntu MATE:
  Invalid
Status in gnome-disk-utility package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Ubuntu MATE 18.04.1, normal installation.

When I use the disks application to add, delete, resize or otherwise
manipulate partitions, the graphical display of the disk screws up --
partitions disappear, sizes are all wrong, it's very weird and
difficult to explain. Upon reboot, the disk application does correctly
display partitions again, and the changes have taken effect.

Will try and take screenshots if nobody can reproduce, just let me
  know.
