[ Fix ] mutter provides a more reliable API to get the "type" of a connector (output). The fix switches gnome-desktop to use this API instead of looking at the output's name - which can be anything apparently. (This drops a visible symbol, but it was only one which you could have used if you included "libgnome-desktop/gnome-rr-private.h", which is not shipped in the -dev package.) [ QA ] If you have an affected system - an NVIDIA-using laptop which doesn't sleep if the lid is closed: install the update, and check if the laptop does now sleep. [ Regression potential ] Changes the heuristic-based scheme for detecting if a display is "built-in" to a method based on the reported connector type. There's a low chance that this could be wrong for some machines which were right previously.
